I also offer individualized treatment using Hypnosis when I feel that it is more appropriate for a given patient. 

*Some patients want an approach that avoids focus on bowel function and benefit from the use of images that are more specific for them. 

*The same benefits are experienced by patients when I work with them in this way.

*The length of the treatment depends on the patient’s response and is tailored accordingly so it may be briefer that the 7 session North Carolina Protocol or more extended.

This approach works much better with children and I have found that they also benefit from learning self-hypnosis for treatment of symptoms.
